Stanley Quiet Glide (Chain Drive) SecureCode Limit Travel Programming Instructions

If your door is currently is closed, you will only be using the “Learn UP” and “Move UP” to set the open limits of your Stanley garage door opener. If your door is in the opened position, you will only use “Learn DOWN” and “Move DOWN” to set the closed limits of your Stanley garage door opener.

Door is CLOSED:

PRESS and HOLD the “Learn UP” and do not release until programming the opened position is completed. Next, PRESS and HOLD the “Move UP” while still pressing and holding the Learn UP. Release only the Move UP button just before it reaches the fully opened position. While holding the Learn UP button, press and release the Move UP button to inch the garage door into place. Once it reaches the fully opened position, go ahead and release all buttons. The garage door open position should now be set into the Stanley circuit board’s memory.

Door is OPENED:

Now, do the exact same steps above using “Learn DOWN” and “Move DOWN” to program the closed position.

Troubleshooting
If you have followed all the steps above and the Stanley garage door opener does not store the travel limits in memory, the circuit board has malfunctioned and can no longer store settings in memory. Replace the circuit board.

When programming the Stanley SecureCode garage door opener transmitters, you will find the transmitter program button next to a red LED light indicator. Usually pressing the button will activate the light. The SecureCode transmitter button could be labeled “REMOTE”, “R” and quite possibly “LEARN” (but not “learn up” or “learn down”).

If you accidently press the Learn UP button or Learn DOWN button while trying to program the Stanley SecudeCode transmitters, that may deprogram the Quiet Glide travel limit settings. You will have to reprogram the open and close limit settings.
