Q: How does Auto.Park work?
A: Auto.Park simply plugs into any automatic garage door opener and utilizes laser technology to safely guide your vehicle into its perfectly parked position (side to side and forward-back) every time your automatic garage door opener is activated.
Q: How do I set up Auto.Park?
A: After you install, simply park your car in the position you want it parked in every time and then turn on Auto.Park by activating your automatic garage door opener. Using the swivel mount direct the red spot to a location on your dash or hood close to the dash that you can easily see while seated in the drivers seat. This location of the red spot on your car is now your reference spot for your perfect parked position.
Q: How do I use Auto.Park?
A: After you one time set up Auto.Park. Simply activate your Automatic garage door opener, as you enter your garage the bright red spot will appear on the hood of your car and move across the hood and toward your windshield as you enter further into your garage. When the red spot appears in the location you set during the set up and initial installation, you will have arrived safely in your perfectly parked position.
Q: How does it install?
A: Auto.Park plugs into one of light bulb sockets on your automatic garage door opener by using the included adaptor and the self adhesive laser swivel mount sticks onto the automatic garage door opener casing.
Q: Does this mean that I will loose one of my light bulbs?
A: The majority of Automatic garage door openers have 2 lights bulbs. However if you require the removed light bulb, you can use another adaptor called a lamp holder to socket adaptor. This is covered in the instructions and you may pick one up at your local hardware store.
Q: Is the laser dangerous?
A: You should not stare directly into the beam, however contact to your skin or looking at the red spot is not harmful.
Q: Will the laser damage my vehicle’s paint?
A: No. Auto.Park uses a very low power but highly visible laser.
Q: How does the Auto.Park laser turn on and off?
A: Every time you activate your Automatic garage door opener Auto.Park turns on and it turns off when your Automatic garage door opener light turns off, usually after about 2 to 3 minutes
Q: Do I need any tools or have to do any wiring to install Auto.Park?
A: No. Auto.Park simply plugs in to any automatic garage door opener and most people install Auto.Park in under 2 minutes, it really is easy.
Q: Is there anything to assemble?
A: No, you simply plug Auto.Park into your automatic garage door opener without wiring or tools.
Q: Will it work on my SUV? (or any other vehicle)
A: Auto.Park will work with any vehicle.
Q: Will it work with my automatic garage door opener?
A: Auto.Park will perform perfectly with any Automatic garage door opener.
Q: My Automatic garage door opener is above the middle of my vehicle, how can it project the red spot on my windshield?
A: Auto.Park comes with a universal swivel mount , making it work on any vehicle and any automatic garage door opener.
Q: Can I use Auto.Park on both of my cars?
A: Auto.Park is perfect for every car, however once you set Auto.Park to one vehicle, you can not use it with another vehicle until re-set it to the other vehicle. If you have 2 vehicles you should consider purchasing 2 units or if you have a double wide garage and 1 automatic garage door opener, then you should consider purchasing our dual laser Auto.Park model as it is perfect for this situation. Q: Does it ever need batteries?
A: No, Auto.Park uses a 110 volt power pack and it is included.
Q: What is included with Auto.Park?
A: Auto.Park comes complete ready to use. It comes with the Auto.Park laser, universal swivel mount, power pack, power adaptor, instructions and 1 year warranty.
Q: Do I ever need to re-adjust it?
A: It is advised that you check the set up position periodically due to some automatic door openers vibrate more than normal.
Q: Does my remote control activate the laser?
A: Yes. Your remote activates the automatic garage door opener and it is the door opener that that turns on the Auto.Park laser and the laser will turn off when your light normally turns off. With most openers this is in about 2 to 3 minutes.
