CHIME-COM System
Q:  Is the Chime-Com 2 (CC-1M) compatible with the CHIME-COM (C-ML/A)?
A:  NO.
Q:  Is the Chime-Com 2 compatible with the LE-Series or IE-Series Door Stations?
A:  NO. Only the door station sold with the kit (CC-DA) is compatible.
Q:  Is the Chime-Com compatible with the LE-Series Door Stations?
A:  YES, the C-ML/A Master station will work with any LE-Series Door Station. (Leave jumper between E & – attached.)
Q:  Is the Chime-Com compatible with the IE-Series Door Stations?
A:  NO.
Q:  How many room stations can be added to a Chime-Com System?
A:  The Chime-Com and Chime-Com 2 are designed for up to two inside stations. With the C-ML/A, one DAK-2S Dual Master Adapter is required per system (2 masters). Each master station will require its own separate power supply (SKK-620 or 4 “C” batteries). A total of 3 – 4 masters may be used if they remain within the recommended distances for the system (245′ on 22AWG, shielded wire. 590′ on 18AWG, shielded wire). (NOTE: CCS-1A does not need the adapter kit, but is limited to two inside stations.)
Q:  How many door stations can be added to the Chime-Com System?
A:  Only one door station should be used with the Chime-Com System. However, if a second door station is needed on an existing system, an LE-D can be added (jumper in), but both door stations will be activated at the same time. Volume to the outside areas will be reduced, and whatever sound is heard at each door location will be heard at the master. The communication from the master will be heard at both door stations simultaneously.
Q:  What Power Supply is used for the Chime-Com?
A:  The Chime-Com (C-123L/A) uses the SKK-620, 6V DC, 85mA Power Supply. Two SKK-620’s are required for the C-123LW, one per master.
Q:  What Power Supply is used for the Chime-Com 2?
A:  The Chime-Com 2 (CCS-1A) uses the PT-1210N, 12V AC, 830mA Power Supply.
Q:  Does the Chime-Com 2 have Door Release capability?
A:  NO. Only the Chime-Com has the door release feature.
Q:  Can either of the Chime-Com Systems be used with the MY Video Cameras?
A:  NO.
Q:  Can the Chime-Com System connect to an External Signaling Device?
A:  YES, using the RY-AC and a separate 12V DC power supply. See the Systems Modification Manual for connection information.

NEM System
Q:  Is the NEM System compatible with the LE-Series Door Stations?
A:  With modification, the LE-Series Door Stations can be used with the NEM System. The PC-359B call holding circuit board must be added, which requires solder connections. Otherwise, use the NE-DA or NE-JA door stations (SOP).
Q: Can the NEM System be connected to an external signaling device?
A:  YES, it may be connected to an IER-2 call extension speaker, or a separate external device using the TAR-3 External Signaling Device Relay and an SKK-620, 6V DC 200mA power supply.
Q:  How many stations can be added to an NEM System?
A:  The NEM System may include up to two add-on selectors for a maximum capacity of 120 stations. (If more stations are added, All Call will not function properly.)
Q:  Is there a handset substation for the NEM System?
A:  The NA-T/A handset is designed for the NEM System. It can be used in conjunction with an open voice sub station, giving the option of either open voice or handset communication at that location.
Q:  What Power Supply is used for the NEM System?
A:  The PS-2410A, 24V DC, 1A power supply is used for NEM Systems of 20 or less stations. The PS-2420UL, 24V DC, 2A power supply is used for NEM Systems with 21 – 40 stations. Add-on selectors require their own separate power supply, following the same rules as above.
