972LM Legacy Remote Programming - Programming a 6 Series 9-Dip Switch remote or an 8 Series Billion Code Green Learn Button remote to your 972LM
Models manufactured on or after July 2001 are capable of programming a 6 Series 9-Dip Switch remote or an 8 Series Billion Code (Green Learn Button) remote to the 2nd button of the 972LM. Models manufactured on or before June 2001 can only program a 6 Series 9-Dip Switch remote to the 2nd button of the 972LM.
Programming the 972LM 2-Channel Security+ Remote to a 61LM 9-dip switch remote or an 81LM Billion Code remote:
Press and hold both buttons on the 972LM transmitter until the yellow indicator light on the back cover of the remote flashes repeated. It will flash for 30 seconds.
While pressing and holding the buttons on the 972LM, press and hold the button you wish to program to the 972LM until the yellow indicator light on the back of the 972LM goes out.
The remote should now be programmed and is ready to work!
Resetting the Right push button back to Security+ as follows:
Push and hold both buttons on the 972LM for ten seconds or until the yellow indicator light on the back stops blinking. The remote has been defaulted to one of six randomly preprogrammed Security+ settings.
